and games from third party partners

which is the exact language they used last time SF6 showed up at the state of play

they also recently said (around a week ago?) that they will show stuff in "not distant future" iirc... wich as generic it sounds, mean soon

Considering that SF6 is still so far and that next update will likely show Cammy+Gief+Lily, guess may be possible we will see also all 4 the DLC ones before launch (wich may mean them being avaible at day one?)

Not the best lineup IMO.  I thought Granblue would be there with the upcoming release of Rising.  I'd like to see Samsho there as well since that game is getting a bit of a second wind with the rollback patch in the spring.

I also thought granblue would be there one last time in its current version, but this makes sense too. They wanna push rising, and by the looks of it rising wont be out till the end of the year. They do have a side event featuring rising, so its not like theres no granblue presence at EVO.

Melty and MK making it is surprising...didn't think they would pull it off. I like the lineup personally, no smash or smashlike games is always a positive in my eyes, and UMVC3 being back in it is cool. The real weird thing is cutting down top 8 to top 6, payout included....dont think anyone is taking that well.

Crazy to think how all the hard work utilizing Parsec has actually brought Marvel 3 back onto the main stage at Evo. No rollback netcode. No developer support. Just love for the game.

It's what happens when a game has actual fans instead people that only bitch in Twitch chat and comment sections like a certain game I won't name. It looks like Mahvel is indestructible to me. 👀

I like how putting Nash into an air dasher makes him more free to utilize his teleportation and special movement abilities. Obviously for gameplay reasons you have to limit that stuff in Street Fighter but watching this Marvel mod and it looks much more representative of how I imagine lore Nash would actually fight.

The PS4 re-release was a joke. Capcom needs to take SF6 netcode and put it into marvel 3 to make the game actually playable online

I'm happy for them though. TNS put MvC3 on their back like nobody else.

Game is still ass though.

Ah I see. I think marvel 3 is probably a better game to watch for the average viewer even though I prefer mvc2, which was probably something they were considering. Hardware is also an issue for mvc2.

I like the announcer they chose for the eighth tekken

She’s probably only going to be the announcer for these trailers. You can already hear the in-game announcer in the breakdown they did and it’s similar to previous games. Plus Tekken never did have an “exciting” announcer.

I do think it’s cool they got her for this though. I’m most familiar with her work in the Rumble Roses series.

I mean, even G shouldn't be there (very little in the game and canon indicate that he was the boss). And JP is yet to be revealed as a mainline villain or final boss.

Developers say otherwise, so it's a moot point. Besides, let's point and laugh at Necalli one last time before we never see him again. 😉

Not really. The game speaks louder than anything they say. Bison is the final boss in the cinematic story and arcade mode. Therefore, Bison is the final boss of SF5. They might've intended G to be a boss-like character, maybe like the ill-fated Necalli, but ultimately both were not fighting game bosses and cannot reasonably join the ranks of other fighting game bosses.
