Didn't that weasel Lindsey Graham say just last month that abortion rights should be dealt by each stage and just last week he said it should be changed at the federal level?

Scumbaggery at its finest

Lindsey Graham is one of the biggest pieces of shit in Congress. Don't blame me, I voted against his ass. Dude talked about Trump a look a dog before he got elected. Then kissed his ass after he got elected. Don't get me started on his Supreme Court nominee shenanigans. Fuck that guy.

BTW I'm enjoying our debate/ discussion. Got a bit snippy there. But still a good talk. Just want to put that out there.

And yeah I agree. America has been dumbed down. And trained to overly rely on the government and be cogs in the machine. Can you imagine if the average Amercian got into some level of entrepreneurship? To where they could enjoy tax write offs. Government would lose it! Tax revenue just vanishing.

Or if the average American was more financially educated. To where many of us invested in index funds, or some type of asset. Stuck to a budget and limited impulse buying?

So yeah we definitely need more financial education. And get people to educate themselves or take classes.

We need to start by paying real wages, getting money out of politics, it shouldn't be a career, we have to put an end to bribery but calling them donations and lobbying.

Bot everyone gets to be or even wants to be an entrapanuer or a business owner and even if you trqch everyone not everyone's going to understand stocks, bonds and investing.

We have to make sure normal every day people can survive and florist here off the labor they provide the entrapanuer or else none of us get anywhere. It's symbiotic we all have to succeed or else none of us do.

LOL same thing happened during Jan. 6, when he was quick to condemn the insurrection but then shortly after went right back to hugging Trump's nuts. Guy flips more than a pancake

King Louis XIV of France, the Sun King (1638-1715): "We are king of France, crowned by God Himself, living incarnation of the State. With a single command of ours armies are raised and nations destroyed, for what we say was said in Heaven and so it shall be done! By the way, have you seen the new models of wigs and high heels they just released? It's so splendidly fabulous, we just can't wait to try them at the next royal ball! We'll be then envy of the entire aristocracy! HOHOHOHOHO!"

Some dude who listens to Andrew Tate (2022): "Noooooooo, the soyboys and the woke SJWs are oppressing me and want to repress my masculinity! They hate me because they're beta cucks and I'm a real Alpha Male, sitting at the top of the socio-sexual pyramid, all the women would want me if only they weren't corrupted by toxic Western ideology and feminism! That's why I now want to transition from Alpha Male to an independent Sigma Male, and move to a country that isn't poisoned by Western ideology and is still pure and prosperous, like Russia or North Korea!"

Mayo---I've always despised it from day 1 as a kid....took one glance at that nonsense and was like "Nahhh."  It has always been something I would refuse to eat unless someone paid me a generous amount of money to do so....like a few grand at least...maybe even 10k or so.  I'd rather not have my food looking like someone jizzed a fat load all over it.

Chadouken or anyone considering a TCL Tv:

My TCL 5 series 43 inch 4k died after only 3 years. I only use it 1.5 hours a day.

My 43 4k Roku  which I bought in 2019 was a budget purchase after my old Samsung 26 inch  died after 8 years.

It had 4k, wifi, all the apps possible, 4 hdmi inputs, dolby vision and for a simple person like me, it was a big step up.

Despite power resetting and other tricks, the tv began having "jumping" issues (image seems to vertically move erratically) or not producing an image after all despite powering on normally and producing sound normally.

I bought it from Amazon and bought a protection plan, but it has soured me on budget TVs.

I also am not going to buy a $1000 OLED since I am single and dont use a TV much (Esp since I have  a laptop and smartphone which are more necessary for my day to day work/life)

There are budget ones like Vizio or various Fire TV's on amazon, but I think Im going to go with a Samsung entry level in the $300-400 range since I've had decent luck with them from my previous tv and smartphone since 2014.

From looking online, it appears the backlight has gone out and some people claim that is common in TCL.

Despite this, I see many glowing reviews for many TCL models currently. Let the buyer beware.

MY parents living room tv is from 2008 just a simple lcd, but works fine.

Anyone here have a TCL that worked for longer 3 years?

Ok well then something has to give. Either more folks are willing to take time off work and risk financial hard ship now. To demand and get better overall quality of life later. Or not. Because no one is gonna do it for us. Sacrifices will have to be maid to make a difference.

I saw that going around. It was actually the promo and song they used for that episode.

Played three years ago so it was way before it became a meme. Turns out Cartoon Network uses the artist’s songs for their promos often.

Wait that was a real promo!?

Edit:  That is amazing.  I thought someone just edited that song in.

ha, yeah I'm always looking forward to the next dumb "challenge" trend that pops up on social media.  I think the last one was the crate challenge... I only ever saw 1 or 2 people successfully do it. (one dude was apparently smoking weed at the time and didn't fall!)  These "challenges" always produce hilarious results that usually involve people getting fucked up in some way....all for our amusement, as we all wonder "...but ....why would you do this?" 😆

FINALLY found this on youtube...  from Out of Sight---this is one of the most hilarious death scenes I've ever seen; I had to keep rolling this back to watch again and again when I saw this on vhs tape back then...

Rashida Tlaib Calls on People to Close Their JPMorgan Accounts After CEO Says Divesting from Oil Would be ‘Hell for America’

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) called for people who bank with JPMorgan Chase to close their accounts during a contentious House committee hearing Wednesday.

CEO Jamie Dimon and the heads of five other major banks each refused to commit to divesting from the oil and gas industry after they were questioned about it by the Michigan Democrat.

During testimony before the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, Tlaib asked the heads of banks such as Citigroup and Bank of America what they intend to do to fight climate change.

She reminded each that their respective banks have made verbal commitments to contribute to net zero emissions by 2050.

“I would like to ask all of you and go down the list, because again, you all have agreed to do this,” Tlaib stated. “Please answer with a simple yes or no, does your bank have a policy against funding new oil and gas projects?”

Dimon answered his institution would not pull investments in fossil fuels.

“Absolutely not, and that would be the road to hell for America,” he said.

Tlaib lashed out at Dimon, and invoked comments he made that called President Joe Biden’s vast student loan forgiveness plan “badly done”:

Quote

Yeah, that’s fine. Sir, you know what, everybody that got relief from student loans [who] has a bank account with your bank should probably take out their account and close their account. The fact that you’re not even there to help relieve many of the folks that are in debt – extreme debt – because of student loan debt and you’re out there criticizing it.

Tlaib’s interactions with the other CEOs were much more cordial.

While criticizing student debt relief Wednesday, Dimon said, “I wish they had targeted the people who actually needed help… They still haven’t fixed the underwriting and they haven’t fixed the cost of college.”

Why? Dude is right. Moving away from oil, even though we need to, is a very complicated process. There isn't enough nickle in the planet to make everything run on batteries. Until that can get sorted out, we can't just get rid of oil.

On top of that all major cities outside of a few are built with cars in mind. So thanks to shitty humans wanting to sell vehicles, and people like Elon Musk, the infrastructure is dependent on oil.

all that before we even talk about how all of our food production is tied to oil all the while those places are running out of water.

Yeah it's like demanding for your car's dirty oil to be changed. When there's no oil available. Driving with dirty oil isn't an ideal situation. But it's way better than nothing

Ideologues like her are so entrenched in their echo chambers they are completely ignorant of the practicality of the switch.  They also will screech about coal power but then also screech about nuclear so how the fuck are you going to power these huge metropolitan cities with wind and solar?  How are you going to farm acres and acres with an electric tractor?  Yeah see how that would put a damper on food production?  I think divesting from oil is completely possible in the next 25 years but to pretend like it's as easy as passing a law is almost to have a child's viewpoint of the situation.

There's that part of it. Also that a lot of our fertilizers are made with petrochemicals.

The other big, big, biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig problem is that a lot of the corporations fighting against any change are the ones that got us into this mess. They sabotaged public transporation to sell cars. They've also sabotaged anything that could remotely benefit society in a myriad of ways by using communism/socialism as a boogeyman.

Drives me fucking crazy how so many of the conversations in the US involve talking to people who did things in bad faith and/or purposefully wrong to try and prove it doesn't work. The amount of public good things that have been sabotaged for the sake of somebody else making a dollar from it is criminal. Its on the same level as how the whims of some shitty, petty racists lead to a lot of the race issues in the US.

FML, we're gonna kill ourselves because of dumb shit.  Kind of like that shit with the Representative form Lousiana. He has a constituent talking to him about how chemicals are killing people in the state and dude is trying to laugh it off.

Something is being done. People are demanding better from their jobs and CEOs are literally on TV every day crying about it.

The Rail Industry made 20 billion last year and invested 18 billion in stock buy backs. Almost the entire rail system shut down last Friday cuz their Conductors where all getting ready to strike just so they could have unpaid time off to see the doctor when they are sick. They have a handshake agreement at the moment but that could turn at any second as negotiations are still on going.

Got that loser Kevin O'Leary going on news shows calling quiet quitters losers cuz he scared he's gonna lose that sweet sweet free labor he's been extorting out his workers for years and calling it "Good business."

People are doing something about it. It's not gonna change over night.

I rally underestimated how mad people were st that twerking post credit scene. Got suggested some random youtuner who was talking about how the show is trying to beat you over the head with how bad men are.

This broad went on some bad dates. Then the one dude who was an asshole turned out to be a massive simp paying off somebody's car. Can't be claiming She Hulk is saying some feminism shit with those two things while there are man breaking open the bank account for broads in hot tubs on twitch.

I dont think I've ever seen so many people so mad at literally nothing.
