I mean, this is super accurate IMO.

Gives me goonies vibes. So It's gonna be comedic in areas but also action adventure kids romp. I'm OK with that. Remember extreme Ghostbusters? That was Def less comedic than the original cartoon

Most things get advertised like that nowadays though. I feel even romcoms get trailers that look like GotG

Free Guy is a movie that shouldn't be so damn good. . . .and yet here we are.

Easily gonna become a cult classic.

Lmfao the last 20 min are so rediculous. It's basically the movie everyone wanted ready player one to be.

My girl said after the movie how hot the molotovgirl looked in the game as opposed to her real life self. I was like nah ah, the casual gamer look on her real self >>>>>> that fake ass look in the game.

On a serious note I did appreciate that light, very light if even unintentional question of freedom. When Buddy chooses his routine and safety over the goggles, that was a very powerful moment. I dont think many understood that part.

Also lmao at the nerd streamer "mom dont touch that sock"

The movie touched on A LOT of things without getting overly preachy and had fun doing it.

*SNIP*

I saw the Green Knight in theaters.  It was a really beautifully shot movie, I really enjoyed the cinematography and the various shots of the wilderness as the knight progresses through his quest.  I think the movie would have been improved with just a tiny bit of exposition, as most of the film is fairly quiet.

Lamb looks so bananas I'm probably going to go see it because it has that bizarre Scandinavian movie vibe that all of their films seem to have for some reason, their movies are strange, depressing, or strangely-depressing.

I just saw Dune Part 1 and I was honestly really impressed with the actors and how closely they interpreted the general feel of the book.  Granted I read the book in HS so various details were a little hazy but the visuals were really striking and IMO it was worth watching it in IMAX.  My ears were definitely ringing after the movie was over, that Hans Zimmer soundtrack was NOT playing.

Also doesn't help the book can be a bit hard to penetrate.

One of the best descriptions for the book I ever saw was "The Dune book expects you to have already read Dune before."

I just saw No Time to Die.

Pros:

Action sequences

Craig's acting - There are some heartfelt parts in this.

The story is good and ties back to most of the other films in the Craig era

There are 2 things I never thought would happen in a Bond film - and they happen here. Very risky for the usually safe franchise.

Misc:

Lashana Lynch's Nomi character is ok. For all the talk of her "replacing" Bond, its limited a few quick snipes/jabs, but ultimately she is an ally of Bond.

Cons

Safin is not in the movie much. maybe 15 min max. I would have liked more screentime.

Some characters got unsatisfying exits due to this being the last Craig film.

Overall: I think this is better than Spectre and Quantum of Solace, but worse than Casino Royale and Skyfall.

8/10

The beginning tone of the movie was weird how comedic it was but I guess because it was gonna be dead serious for the rest of the film.

I felt it was weirdly cheesy in terms of acting in places... But from everyone not just one actor.

The ending was a wtf in terms of getting no real conclusion on what the future of the franchise is. Are we getting a new bond? Does the timeline reboot? Did they fuck the internet for dollars over Naomi.

I enjoyed it overall just made me go wtf in a bunch of places.

Also it oddly made me feel like it was giving nods to Golden eye videogame. That whole third act was straight up a video game plot.

The Russian scientist was a bit too goofy imo.

If I had to guess, they will just have a new Bond and go back to mostly stand alone adventures in a new continuity.

The Q actor said he was contracted for only 3 films,so I'm guessing he's gone.

In the past when the bond actor changed (Connery to Moore, Moore to Dalton) they usually kept the M and Moneypenny actors and didn't have any explanation for it.

I have a feeling they will slowly bring back more gadgets and humor to contrast with the Craig era.

Theirs alot of questions.. I hope they keep q. I liked him as the main humor in the Craig era of super serious.

I hope they stay super serious... Bond has done the comedic adventure camp thing for so long that everyone does it better. I think the serious take is something I've loved.

I think their needs to be repercussions if this really is a continuation in the future. Because of how Ms role played out it feels like he got off Scott free when he basically caused this whole shit.

Scientist turned the camp up to 1000%.

Also hope Cuban spy chick comes back.. Bitch was funny and drop kicking muthsfucka a left and right. I could see her and Naomi team up in the future.

I wonder if they are taking another stab at the Jinx spin off with Naomi.

I hope so.. It might be even tight to bring Halle back. After doing serious John wick training she'd prob be even better in the role now.

They are writing much better stories now (generally) then they where back during the back half of the Brosnan Era.

Peirce got done dirty honestly.
