Toy Galaxy's vid on Voltron

 

Man, I definitely wasn't the only kid that was wondering at the time why the sudden change to "vehicle version" Voltron...and nah, I didn't like that change one bit.  It was funny...at first I was thinking either I was on the wrong channel or perhaps the tv station made a mistake, and it was some other show pre-empting Voltron.  The real Voltron was that pack of robot lions....I could accept nothing less.

 

this took me back... I had a Voltron lunchbox too; it was cheap plastic though...looking back it wasn't as well-made as my GI Joe lunchbox I had before that.

LOL it's because they sacrifice tech for speed. Good crossfit gyms don't allow it but it's the mcdojos of fitness gyms now.

Apparently it's common for people to do CrossFit until they vomit and in some cases, kidney failure.

Kidney failure is usually gear IMO.  I work at a hospital and I've seen tons of jacked dudes who needed dialysis in their 40s.

Bro you’re telling me. Up until their merger with T-Mobile I had been a sprint customer all the way back from when they were Cingular Wireless. Which is when I was around 15-16. 
 

Once the merger happened with T-Mobile my service basically tanked and I keep getting bombared with spam texts, fishing texts and promotional texts that I’ve told Sprint and T-Mobile customer service about, wanting to op out of them or whatever the solution needs to be and they STILL do nothing. 
 

I’ve thought about going to another service but I had Verizon and AT&T when I worked IT and both of their services whether it be phone plans, cell service or customer service is just straight fucking garbage. 
 

im not going to a 3rd party type cell plan either because they’re either a subsidiary of the big 3 or they just pay one of the big three to use their towers and their customer service centers. So you’re still attached to them through back alley deals
 

so fuck all that. Shit makes me so angry.

I've been holding something back for a while now, and need to let it out. Also, the fact that this happens in what is supposedly the greatest country in the world is downright sickening.

My wife is needing to have surgery to remove cataracts from her eyes. Our insurance (which comes through payroll deductions from her job) won't even pay anything until we come up with $10,000 to cover out of pocket costs. I know to some here, 10 g's isn't a lot of money; but it's a major expense no matter how it's looked at. That much money is a vehicle, or a really strong payment on a much nicer vehicle, or that much money would instantly wipe out 1/3rd of my Student Loans (of which I have almost $40,000 worth). I feel absolutely helpless about this situation, as her eyesight is getting worse. 

I ended up deciding that I would go back to work full-time after New Year's, and invoking a trial work period through Social Security to cover most if not all of the remaining cost (we have about 1/2 the money saved right now, stored in a safety deposit box at our bank). If I have everything right, the surgery could be done in time to possibly travel later this year/next year for sure. As I mentioned before, I don't really have a place to talk about this, but I appreciate everyone. Even @DarkSakul.

 

Anywho, time to stop ranting about how insurance and American health care can go suck a giant-ass horse cock like Nancy Reagan 😂.
