Started Bloodborne last night and anytime I play a fromsoftware game, I gotta struggle for a couple hours wrapping my head around the controls.

They're kinda bad lol. The button mapping is wack and I personally think half the reason I think those games are hard.

You can arrange the Dualshock 4 to whatever button layout you want on PS4.

Would you mind explaining your reasoning for thinking it controls bad? Because it's practically remained the same for over a decade now and I find it pretty intuitive outside of a few key aspects.

Gonna try mobile Genshin Impact first since I'm at work and it's a big ass download on PC. I figure if anything, the mobile version should make the PC game seem better, lol.

Steep looks cool from those screenshots. I never got into the SSX. My jam was SNOWBARD KIDS SON!

Just looking at this reminds me of the good ol' days, and now many dozens of N64 games I must have rented from Hollywood Video...

I'm a little surprised to hear that knowing you're a big fan of THPS.  Yeah, they're different games, but I find them similar enough in the sense of building meter to pull off crazy moves.  Extreme action sports games. If they ever make/remake another one (TRICKY👀) you ought to give it a try. Love those games.

Yeah, over the last few years I've been realizing how many GameCube/PS2 Era games I actually missed out on, despite playing the living shit out of all those systems.

Too much time playing Budokai 3 with the computer.... 🥴

To be fair (To be faaaaaaaiiiiiiiir) To be fair the PS2 Library is huge.

Oh certainly. I'd probably consider it the most impressive library for a system even to this day. It didn't have nearly as much shovelware as the Wii. It's honestly ridiculous how many established franchises AND new ones popped up on that thing, even more ridiculous how good so many of them are. I had an absolute field day just with all the amazing DBZ games that thing had, let alone the other great shit like Maximo, Shadow of The Collosus, Sly Cooper, ect.

Well, at least you were playing a good game? 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, but I could've at least been playing Infinite World. Which is essentially the upgraded version of Budokai 3.

Didnt even know that existed until many, many moons after the PS2 Era. 😭

Having consumables on the face buttons isn’t for me. I’d have heal on L2 and other items on L1.
Clicking L3 for lock on is not my bag, R2 For that. Mode switch on L3. Light attack on square, heavy on triangle, dodge on X, inspect on circle. Shoot on R1.

different strokes, ya know?

I thought the Intention since the shoulder buttons are becoming more advance they needed to get more use out of them. They function more like triggers now.

I think its to free uup your fingers for other things. With attack and defense on the shoulder buttons that means they are always instantly accessible, while also leaving your other thumb free for important actions like camera control if you play unlocked a lot (I do a fair bit of this myself) as well as access to things like the item, health (In BBs case) and roll buttons.

Reminds me of how everyone hates Triangle as Jump in DMC1 except for me, i love it because Jump, your universal dodge option is always within reach wether you are shooting or meleeing, just tip your thumb up and bam you jump and have starting invul frames for it. On X you have to tip your thumb in an unatural direction or lift it completely off your offensive buttons to execute a defensive action.

Did anybody get into 13 Sentinels? It's not my thing, but a friend pushed me to try it, and I really liked it. But then I took a break, and I think I'm more lost than before.

My copy is coming in the mail.

I love all of Vanillaware's games, so I'm expecting great things.

Was hyped until it I realized it was mostly a visual novel and then I got flashbacks of running around through empty screens when I was playing Muramusa.

Who downloaded Rogue Company?    Nice little f2p 3rd person shooter with some okay specialist type action.   Like using the samurai thot with that fat ass.    Need to unlock the Pam Grier looking chick for maximum western waifu worship

Seems to me like he's reporting crunch time at CDProjekt Red and people are actively telling him he's wrong, even when he's gone out of his way to interview various people and get various sources.

Maybe he is a bit sensitive, I don't know the guy, but I definitely understand not wanting to deal with the Twitter crowd.
