Oda helped picked out the cast and is apparently helping with the show. I don’t have any faith that it’ll be good, but it’s does seem have some passion for it.

It is an odd thing that despite how far video recording tech has evolved in the past few decades, any footage of UFOs tends to be *conveniently* of low quality, like it was shot with one of those big VHS video cameras from the 80s....ha, those cameras were so huge you had to hold them on your shoulder like an 80s "boombox" stereo.

 

Sasquatch and other "mysterious" creatures ---same thing....if they are truly out there in the wilderness... how has no one caught them on film yet?  I mean in actual good quality, of course.  I'm much more inclined to believe in aliens that occasionally visit and observe this planet than I'll believe in "bigfoot" and all that.

...it would be cool if the "Mothman" creature turned out to be real...that one was always cool and interesting to me.

Kasparov asks Foxx and Haas to disclose whether they have financial participation in an “Aragua real estate deal,” referring to the region in Venezuela, or if they are receiving payment for publicizing that deal or any other government initiative in the country. He asserts the real estate deal is falsely labeled a government housing project but it has nothing to do with humanitarian work.

Kasparov wrote his letter and email under the auspices of the Human Rights Foundation, where he is chairman. HRF has long criticized Maduro and his predecessor, Hugo Chavez, whose socialist revolution was famously supported by actors Sean Penn and Danny Glover.

They just want to make sure their customers alive to pay for the next session. It's like a drug dealer giving someone a free sample. Get you hooked, then get you to pay. Oldest sales tactic in the book. If Austria has similar setup to the US, they don't have to pay for the vaccine. So they have reduced overhead....and I won't make the easy follow up joke to that. 🙃

He actually sent me $100 for it 30 min ago. I kinda don't want it as stupid as it sounds. It makes me feel like my art wasn't good enough and I shouldn't take it til I feel my art is better.

1) you worked on something, you get paid. People want work they get to put a down payment. Don't ever do any work for 0 money. Sure the pride hurts, but you gotta separate it from your business.

 

2) those dudes wanted to be anime but they don't even have titties. Nobody in the internet wants some art they can't jerk off to.

If people like Robaato can keep getting jobs and money despite never following through on his promises, you can take $100 for actually finishing something even if the client didn’t like it.

He has done for a Kickstarter for a game project he was working. It ended up not happening and he refuses to give the backers their refunds.

 

Did an Indiegogo for a planned sketchbook he was going to sell. He never made it and didn’t refund the money he got for it.

 

He would also take money from commissioners without ever finishing their commission. There was a post last month calling him out on this. One guy still hadn’t seen any progress on what he ordered since February of last year.

 


Not delivering his kickstarters, ignoring his commissions, and blowing up at people that ask about them. While that is all happening, he’s drawing for Udon and set up a subscription based website which looks really bad for anyone that has ever given money to him. I love his art, but hate his attitude towards people he can ignore is awful.

Assuming he just isn’t being a fraud and running off with the money, he sees things like commissions and the like as something that can be ignored because he’s too valuable for them. Also because of the criticism he received, he protected his Twitter account two years ago. This dude is garbage.  People need to stop asking for commissions from him until he gets his shit together.  There's a replay in the twitter thread that's on part with this if not worse.

I'm getting mad and I didn't even give the dude money.

This is the thing I never quite got with the whole crowd-funding concept... what is in place to stop people from saying "hey I'm going to produce ______.", people give money to support the project, then it never happens and the person just disappears with the money? 

 

If nothing is in place to stop that, I'm surprised the scams don't happen more often....because y'know... most people are scum that cannot be trusted under any circumstances.

What if they institute a system where if they want to use a crowd funding platform they need to provide sensitive information (real name, address, social security, etc) to be encrypted and stored on something like a block chain (or anything really), it gets background checked by the provider for verification, and then it essentially acts as collateral for the individual seeking crowd funding. If they follow through, the encrypted information will return to them and if they don't... it becomes public domain or some shit. Won't run away with all that money and broken promises if everyone can headhunt you, hmm?
