For example, i supported him for an artbook.

Never got my copy, the consolation prize was a pdf of the artbook.

Love his art, but the guy has some issues being organized and delivering on the stuff he offers to fans that support him.

Now that I think about, I seem to remember him working on a personal project for a book, like a pinup gallery. From what I saw, I liked his Capcom work better.

This is the thing I never quite got with the whole crowd-funding concept... what is in place to stop people from saying "hey I'm going to produce ______.", people give money to support the project, then it never happens and the person just disappears with the money?

If nothing is in place to stop that, I'm surprised the scams don't happen more often....because y'know... most people are scum that cannot be trusted under any circumstances.

It's more a bad thing against the community. So if you screw them you get to only do it once type scam. Some may get screwed but in general gofundme does have ways to do some shit.

some random shit as usual.... I wonder sometimes how embarrassing it must be for a kid to fail a grade in elementary school....at least back in the ancient times of my generation being kids... there's 2 people I knew from back then who happened to fail at least once.  Interesting how our society gradually went soft just with the wording on that... "failing" eventually became the phrase "left behind", which at some point became "held back" which is a pretty odd way to describe the situation, imo....and apparently I guess they just don't do that anymore in recent years with the public school system?  That seems like an embarrassment that only perpetuates the stereotype the U.S. has around the world of being filled with stupid people.... I don't think it's doing the kid any favors to just let them pass to the next grade even if they're failing the subjects. (*this would surely create the mentality of "why even put forth a good effort?  Why try to get things right and study the material if they'll just pass me anyway?")

...but yeah, I'd imagine it must be humiliating to still be in 2nd grade again when your peers have moved on to 3rd grade.  I vaguely remember another old friend that actually failed twice... I haven't seen that dude since grade school though.  The odd thing to me is that they were not "special needs" cases either...at least 1 happened to have an apparently undiagnosed learning disorder; he was most likely dyslexic from certain things I remember.

This trip back to 2nd and 3rd grade memories reminds me now---my 3rd grade teacher happened to look like Bobby "The Brain" Heenan of WWE(later WCW) fame in drag...always smelled like cigarettes too since she had a major smoking habit.

When you come across a former coworker on a dating app and have a 95% match with them. Also...she's married and says she's in an open relationship.

That said, were I single there are probably 20 or so former coworkers where if I had a chance to one time hit it and quit it I'd be giving it a serious thought.

When I was single there were several. The risk vs. reward (long-term) simply wasn't there. I remember the phrase "don't shit where you eat". There are enough options and eliminating those at the job is a small hit to your success rate.

Youtube taking away the dislikes

This is beyond stupid for a bunch of reasons, but I’ll just bring up the point they made with their Twitter post. It was something like “We are removing public dislikes to stop targeted attacks  and for the mental health of their creators.”

This falls flat on its face when they are just removing the fact that viewers can see it because they also stated the creators can still see how many dislikes they have. So it really is doing nothing about the creator’s mental health. Really it’s just because it’s a bad look when you have the most dislikes video on the site like YouTube does with YouTube rewind.

Absolutely- I'm just saying that if the opportunities had come up after we were already not working together they would have been tempting AF.

On the flip side, I actually did start dating my now wife while we were "coworkers".  But it was a huge company, we didn't directly work with each other, and both quickly moved on to better jobs elsewhere anyway.

The worst I ever saw was when I went to business conferences out of town.  The married/not married it didn't matter nearly all the women I worked with cheated and had a "conference fling" lined up before they even went.  I was forced to get some papers from one of my older coworkers and she answered the door dressed like she was about to film a milf porno and I NOPED the fuck out of that situation. A year later I met her husband and she reminded me about how I tried to tear her marriage apart.

@J-rideI'm not surprised. It seems like every story I hear about a woman cheating has her not accept responsibility and blame everyone but herself.

I've got a buddy who's a Nashville cop that used to be assigned to the Broadway strip where all the bars are. He said about 6/7 out of 10 rape accusations that happened in that area were married women coming to town with a bachelorette party, getting really drunk and hooking up with some guy, feeling guilty about it and pursuing "rape" charges 😑

I wish I could say I was surprised. I always think about that skank that cried rape, cost two dudes their scholarships, and admitted later that she lied because she didn't want some guy she was into think she's a ho.

Did those guys get their scholarships back? If not, I hope they sued her for the amount of them

Pretty sure there was a movie based on this or a very similar case. The worse thing about things like these  is that they don’t need to happen at all. But it always does and somebody’s life gets ruined in the process.

Honestly, these days, you don't even have to go to jail/court to have your life ruined by lies, all a woman has to do is say you raped or sexually assaulted her publicly and you will lose your job even if it's found out later she lied. The mere association of a scandal can destroy your reputation, and the woman can walk away unscathed. It's pretty fucked up

The women that do this need some sort of criminal and civil accountability.

Definitely, make an example out of one when they discover she's lying and the rest will be less likely to do it. They should get the same sentence the man was about to face if convicted, that is true equality

And another thing, chicks that lie make it HARDER for women who actually were victims of sexual crimes, so these lies definitely need to stop for that reason as well

I've got two words for ya:  Brian Banks.

That dude's story is fucking insane. Kicked out of school before the trial had even started, facing FOURTY ONE YEARS TO LIFE (?????) over it, AND that chick who falsely accused him got a $1.5 million settlement from the school but wouldn't tell the cops she made it up because she didn't want to give the money back. And that dude deserves a Nobel peace prize for not suiciding her the way she did him.

I doubt that will change... it is too ingrained in American society at least... this mentality to basically treat women with kid gloves in just about all situations where they would otherwise receive harsh consequences.  They are like spoiled children that have never been told "No." by parental figures at any point in life.  Seriously, imagine a kid that has never been denied what they want to do or get by Mom and Dad...and has never been disciplined for whatever the latest crazy shit they've done, and think of what kind of person this becomes later as an adult.  That's basically what they are at this point.  They can literally get away with murder if they want, and so they act accordingly in life and just do whatever they want whenever they want regardless of how much it fucks over someone else...*especially* a man since a lot of them ("most", imo) tend to naturally look down on us as a "lesser" variant of human.  Really, if anyone is "toxic" it's them, tbh.

This and the fact that we are terrible at receiving new information. People still go around using the term "Alpha" when (in context) it's been disproven for years.

I don't think it's women that are the problem, I think it's that most Western men are effeminate, emotional and weak. And before anyone wants to argue with me, I present twitter as exhibit A, and Facebook as exhibit B. Hell I can just rest my case right here.
