MillionX Posted January 23, 2022 Share Posted January 23, 2022 Diablo 3, the adventures continue... ...so I finally created another Hardcore seasonal character a little while ago---ultimately it's to get a certain conquest done this season (the "beat GR45 with no set item bonuses in Hardcore" one). I also have not played Hardcore mode in a long time....years, actually. There's no difference other than the rule of permanent death....and those characters don't share the stash or money with regular-mode characters....also, when a Hardcore character dies, all equipment they were carrying is lost too. haha, I have a friend that's a bit too chicken to play that mode. It does add an extra bit of thrills and suspense when you know that if your character gets caught in a bad spot, that's it...he/she and all their stuff is GONE. Anyway, I only got Hardcore Wizard up to level 20-something so far. Meanwhile in Dead Cells---Vee plays around with the throwing card item from the new DLC...the potential here seems insane (*there's 1 part where it looks like he hit an enemy for a million damage!) Unfortunately for her outside that new super she really doesn't have range options so she has to get close anyway. I wonder how long the tether lasts. That would help in determining to me. Like you don't want to be close to pot or chipp...but you have to to win with a chunk of the cast so... But I hear you. So now the temptation hits me once again... not sure I can ignore it much longer... to have an arcade-perfect MK2 (+UMK3) at home.... *Not sure I like the inclusion of wifi features for online play in these arcade machines....because it just seems like the beginning of a slippery slope there, where eventually (let's say 5 to 10 years from now) we'll see A1ups that are "ONLINE-ONLY, LOL!" and all that bullshit, with future generations standing up to defend that stupidity....you know it's going to happen eventually......and fuck that nonsense forever. I wish the concept of "Online-Only" was manifested into 1 living thing....so I could torture the shit out of that bitch, as its family is forced to watch.
