Chicks don't like you wasting their time or saving them for later, but them doing it to you is fair game apparently

Patrice O'neal had the most perceptive insight into the female mind and I have the entire Black Philip series downloaded on my computer for when my son hits his teens.  My little man is going to be prepared for that bullshit.

I thought you where for NFTs.

I am for the potential applications for security, the technology, what NFTs actually are, a non replicable token with info that can be used in conjunction with other technologies to keep records on a none centralized database/network, not the fuckery that people are currently doing, market speculation with "art" assets to con people out of their money.

Sadly, the technology will not see the potential it has because the cryptobros decided to coopt it for this nonsense.

NFT from the getgo was a silly concept, it was like the poors were trying to hide money in expensive art pieces the way rich people do.  But the silly part of the NFT was that you didn't have a physical copy of the "art" so you really didn't own anything.  It was the equivalent of saying out owned a meme or a jpeg.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/29/business/art-money-laundering-sanctions-senate/index.html

That is not what an NFT are.

The art/video/whatever asset is not the nft.

The nft is the token with the information that the asset is tied to.

In laymen terms, is a token that its uniqueness is verified by the blockchain.

The video I posted briefly explains it.

Josh Hayes did a more depth but still easy to follow video about it, explaining what an NFT actually is, and why the cryptobros are using "art" as part of the scheme.

I mean if we look at other tech throughout history some will have their share of corruption before it becomes something stable enough to be accepted.

so apparently the big bang theory has been wrong the entire time.

stephen hawking died too soon to not see this james webb telescope fuck up his entire career's work. i wouldve loved to know what his opinion would be of these new findings.

Ehhhh, the BBT is not immediately invalidated by this discovery, since our estimates are only based on what we can observe.

By starters due the inflation what we can see now is less of what we could see 1 million years ago for example.

So any estimates we have can change with time as better technologies arrive and other gaps in our knowledge are being filled.

It doesn't mean that in the future it can be invalidated, but it doesn't mean that it has been invalidated now.

🤣🤣🤣

OH MY LORD. Gina Carano is rich (she comes from casino money). She'll be fine, and can do whatever she wants. STILL. She was about to get a spinoff show at Disney, threw that away for tweets, and now she's getting her hair sniffed by a fake Joe Biden for a right-wing propaganda piece.

Even with all the money in the world, if that was my acting career, I couldn't sleep at night.

That is completely misrepresenting what went down. The tweet she got canned for was reported as anti-Semitic. Was it? Nope. Yet anyone that actually read what she wrote knew that was BS. Canning her for it, just proved what she was ultimately saying. She got fired for being conservative. Meanwhile she was immediately hired by Jewish man after the controversy. Pedro Pascal has posted far worse, but he isn't conservative so no one cares. The same Twitter mob has been gunning for Chris Pratt for a while. He's a bigger star though, so they haven't had the same results.

If a hostile alien species showed up... it wouldn't take much effort on their part to erase the human species...and most or all other land-based animals, I imagine.  They could simply *nudge* a sufficiently large asteroid in our direction....and when it hits that's game over right there....and we would not even realize this was an attack; it would just seem like a world-ending natural disaster is upon us.  Either that or they could drop another thing (perhaps another smaller meteor or whatever "natural" object) with an airborne virus, since the human race has proven time and time again that we're collectively too stupid to take the necessary precautions with a highly-contagious viral infection as it quickly sweeps the entire world thanks to world-wide travel being a common thing.  Humanity loses to the Plague tactics every time.  We're just lucky it hasn't been something with a super high mortality rate so far.

The large meteor extinction would be a bit more interesting, at least....and more guaranteed.  If I were them, this is the game-winning play here.  Imagine if they were to push a meteor that's the size of just 1 large state or country.  That's probably all it takes right there....anything of a decent size hits the planet and it's a level of destruction that makes a nuclear bomb seem like a child's toy in comparison.  A global shockwave probably... along with unprecedented tidal wave destruction if it hit an ocean... imagine a wall of ocean water that's several miles up, quickly sweeping over the continents in all directions radiating out from the impact area....entire nations permanently submerged; all that shit's gone.  Even if people survived, there's the after effects that likely get them later; the complete destruction of all infrastructure, all the fine luxuries of modern civilization are instantly erased.  I'm curious how many people if any would survive the initial impact, actually....eventually they die to weather exposure or lack of medication if they had a regular prescription and doctor visits.... or perhaps a poisoned atmosphere, constant flooding, it's just all downhill from there and a true "post-apocalypse" situation goes on.

...oh and then there's the debris from the explosion/impact that rains down for a considerable amount of time afterwards, and of course the sunlight probably being blocked out for a long enough time that it fucks over the natural vegetation...so any survivors also have to worry about starving to death since a lot of other animals have also been wiped out.  If any humans survived such an event, I doubt civilization could ever come back from that anytime soon, if ever.  haha there's your "Debbie Downer" post for the day.

Tweets. Plural.

She said a couple things about COVID and the Election as well as that beep/bop/boop thing (which wasn't her fault much at all, but still) before that holocaust tweet. I base this on "he said, she said", but I think she was talked to at some point and told to stop, and the holocaust tweet was the last straw. It's not about conservatism or free speech. It's not even that much about the content of the final tweet. She disregarded her employer telling her not to do something, which would get most of us fired at our jobs if we weren't important enough.

Pedro Pascal directly compared the US to Nazi Germany in a tweet with two photos. One of was from a concentration camp for Jews in Nazi Germany and the other from holding cells for illegal immigrants children in the US. Terrible optics but not anywhere near the same thing. Unless they were forcing those kids to do back breaking labor on 500 calories a day then putting in furnaces. That tweet, IMO, was disrespectful as well. The one was of multiple tweets from him that were worst than anything she posted IMO. Moreover, during the same time frame several Lucasfilm employees were tweeting all kinds of inappropriate things.  They only fired Gina. The only difference between her and them was their politics. I read her "holocaust tweet". She said the Nazi's turned neighbors against Jews before hauling them off. She was basically implying that the US was heading down the route of carting people off for a difference in a opinion. Whether you agree with that assessment or not, it's not anti Semitic in the slightest.

Side note: If you are famous, stay off Twitter. Not worth the risk/reward.

Damn that 38 year old is looking rough, I thought black didn't crack?  My wife is 35 and looks 10 years younger than her.

You'd be surprised how many black people drink soda and alcoholic more than they drink water. Not even melanated skin ages well if lacking water.

1.) I'd bet that like Gina, they (including Pedro) were sat down and told to stop it too. I don't know the full scope of things, but I'm assuming they did, since we're talking about it in past tense. Gina didn't. Though, again, I'm not up on what every staff member of Disney is doing now, so they could be saying foul shit that's going under the radar.

2.) I agree that it isn't antisemitic, but it's still ridiculously tone-deaf and stupid. If she did that after being told to stop, then I could understand them (Disney) thinking "this isn't going to work".

What you are saying makes perfect sense. That doesn't seem to be what happened though. Disney/Lucasfilm only seemed to implement some sort of social media policy after they got blow back for firing her. If anyone us here, posted the type of stuff Lucasfilm employees did in an official capacity at our jobs, we wouldn't have those jobs.

When I came back to working in park, I along with all other returning leaders were told the Walt Disney Company no longer wants us to separate Disney us from personal us. Disney as a whole wants us all to be our authentic selves. I am not sure if that extended to Marvel/Lucas but it wouldn't surprise me.

At the same time, I think allowing such a change in policy opens up the door for trouble.

ha, "authentic self"... that's quite the ridiculous idea, imo... considering what my true, "authentic self" is.  There is no company that would be ok with that for sure.

...it reminds me that one of the first old sayings to raise my Bullshit Alarm pretty early in life was "hey, just be yourself and things will work out."----hahah, nahhhh, dawg.... I see the trap laid out there and I'm not falling for that.

I think you misunderstand about "authentic self"- Disney doesn't want you to bring your secret inner-life self to work.

Pretty sure that Disney wants your work-time self to become who you are 24/7.

It's what all employers want:  real authentic serfs.

Bruv I know exactly what the company wants when they meant that phrase. 😉

That's dumb as hell. If you can't figure out how to talk to park guests like a human being, you shouldn't be out there.

Only time that ish is weird is in the restroom. Even then I still had a manager tell me I had to make conversation with people in the restrooms.

PFFT miss me with all that.

y'know.... the more I read stuff on reddit lately... the more aggravating it is to see that "incel" is pretty much the DEFAULT insult for men these days.  It doesn't matter what the topic is, but of course if it's a man bringing up almost anything about women in general the typical forum dunce muthafucka chimes in like

"..found the incel."

You see it in youtube comments as well, of course...and I'm sure over there in bitch-made Facebook land too.  Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing people like that just get beat down for several hours by a legion of prison inmates in general population.  It would bring a smile to my face to watch those smarmy ass punks get stomped out for a while.

Actual incels need their ass beat too (**Solution = BUY some pussy, dumbasses.  Problem solved just like that.).... it is because of their very existence that the term is now so prevalent as the usual insult for any man for literally anything since this pussy ass society hates everything that is even slightly masculine and traditional..
