Man, one of the chicks that was celebrating Kevin Samuels death HARD on my TL, well her cousin got killed last night, and he seemed like a pretty good guy. I was telling various women not to put that kind of hateful energy in the air, especially cheering for a man's death just because you don't like his opinion, that can come back on you or someone you love

 

Not saying the two situations are directly related, cuz they aren't, just saying, that's kinda why you shouldn't spread hate like that. Now she's heartbroken and probably doesn't even realize that's probably how Kevin's family felt when they lost him

There is some kind of poetic justice in eventually making the episode take place in New England rather than the South. Like it's somehow more introspective on race relations in America being based somewhere where it couldn't have *possibly* happened compared to Mississippi.

Pour over the sink bro.  Also I use the hose on the sink to fill the reservoir, it's way easier than trying pour out of the pot.

I would, but that doesn't work with my kitchen layout. And even if it did, why the fuck is this even an issue? I don't remember this shit happening back in the 90s, before all the companies cheaped out on materials.

 

I broke my last pot by pounding the top of it with my fist to try and get a better seal on the shitty plastic lid. The bottom broke out in a perfect circle and water went everywhere. I bought a new, more expensive coffee maker and the same shit keeps happening. Fucking bullshit.

.... Yes and no. New England was very racist at the time, but it wasnt cross burnings on your lawn and fear of lookin at a white man. But their were def places we weren't allowed to go for risk of getting beat up or killed. As well as structural racism built into the laws and stuff.

...and now let's predict a Disney-fied version of GI Joe, because that's always fun:

• Cobra Commander and Destro, Dr. Mindbender, etc... all the elites are shown to be bumbling buffoons in comparison to the Baroness who obviously has a MENSA-level IQ and is the real brains of the operation.  They make sure to show that she is a much better fighter and specialist with all firearms.
• All the Joes are crippled or captured in the first scene, so now it's up to Lady Jaye and Scarlett to save the world from Cobra's latest diabolical scheme!  Quick-Kick helps out; he wasn't crippled and is allowed to be showcased with the ladies because he's gay now... he's now Lady Jaye's GBF.  Roadblock is probably a trans-man now so maybe he gets increased screentime with them as well.  These "fabulous" gentlemen tag along basically as comic relief goofball characters, there to cheer the ladies on like "mmmm GIRL I heard that! *snap* SLAY, bitchhhhh."  They go on to easily stop Cobra once and for all, and rescue all the Joes who were still alive.  The End.

As soaring temperatures continue to bake large swathes of the country, extreme heat in Kansas created stunning images of rows and rows of dead cattle that quickly went viral online.

“The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is aware of at least 2,000 cattle deaths that occurred in the southwest part of Kansas,” spokesman Matt Lara told NPR on Thursday.

They actually just recently explained why this is in Donny Cates ‘God of Hammers’ arc. It’s a really good read.

It’s from the latest Miles Morales “What If…?” mini-series where it asks what would happen if Miles became a different super hero instead of spider-man.
 

Read the comments of those threads. Pretty much the whole issue is in the comments. It’s incredibly cringe and doesn’t even try to hide its racism. The writer, Yehudi Mercado is also known to be very racially and culturally tone deaf if not flat out racist in other books as well. I had never heard of him until today and really wish I hadn’t. 
 

If you brave to look up his replies to the criticism the issue is getting. He’s doubling and tripling down on his writing, making fun of people, claiming he only wrote the issue as an in because “marvel has no Mexican characters” (he’s Mexican/Jewish and also hahaha what), and the old adage of “yeah well, a white guy created Miles Morales.” 
 

Yeah, we know, Brian Michael Bendis also isn’t a racist hack.

 

Like, I’m white as fuck but im fortunate to be friends with a lot of people who belong to a variety of different cultures, races, ethnicities and the like. And while I’ll never claim to know everything Or understand everything I know a fair bit about all of them. So I have a good idea of what is appropriate and what the fuck isn’t lol. This entire issue clearly isn’t.

Mmmm. Yes and no. The recent issues of main Miles Morales title and a publishing initial of Marvel is a lot of characters being involved with the multiverse. Miles being one of them. That said I don’t think these issues are tied into the 616 Miles Morales multiverse event that’s happening.n
 

For example though, Gail Simone is writing a miniseries called “Variants” where various Jessica Jones’ from across the multiverse team up to solve a crime that spans the multiverse. 
 

there’s also a book written by Tim Seeley where it’s something similar to the aforementioned Jessica Jones title but it’s based around Gwen Stacy’s across the multiverse, as different heroes and teaming up to face a big bad instead Of being six feet under or the one universe where she becomes Ghost Spider

I followed the advice of some lawyers on youtube. Like before proceeding to the court both attorneys usually ask questions to the summoned people to see if they could have a possible bias against their defendants, and if so dismiss them from the case. In another video a guy said he was dismissed because the summon arrived to an address where he used to live but doesn't anymore.

 

Fortunately, both instances are true for me. A family member was living with us until early last year and when she moved out, she went to the postal office to have her mail forwarded to a new address. I don't know what she did but my and my parents' address was changed to hers. So for a time our mail was arriving at her new address.

 

So when I was filling out the forms and answering questions on my juror's page I pointed out that I do not live in the address where the summon had arrived. Another question was if I or anyone I know had been victims of a crime. I answered victim of credit card fraud; someone stole my card number when I made an online purchase at Wal-mart's page, and made a big purchase. I don't know if any of those did it, but I don't have to appear anymore
