In my experience, you are flat out wrong - modern men are the better cooks.

No, but the idea that just because someone was an old-timey housewife they could cook anything half decently was even less based in fact.

 

At least foodies aspire to something.  Most of our grandparents' generations had things like the Betty Crocker cookbook at home, which convinced them that cooking well meant opening up a packet of some sort of processed food and going 'off-label' with it.

Not trying to argue for either or, but your post made me check my memory to see if I remember seeing any female chefs in the back of any of the restaurants I go to.  Outside of the one Mexican place, I don't remember seeing any in the back since the time I used to work with one over 10 years ago.  Strange, now that I think about it.

that's not what would bother me...see at a certain altitude I doubt my body fart flying would be able to sustain the change in pressure and temperature.  😂

Growing up in the 90s as the "smart black kid", something I dubbed No Man's Land, I was not shielded from people saying less than flattering things. Heck the black kids were worse than the racist white kids. If anyone was oversensitive it would have been people from my general circle. We got it worse.  That said people made fun of people that were overly sensitive.  General response essentially suck it up, stop crying, other people have it much worse than you. When I went to school we had field days. Ribbons were giving out to the first, second, and third place finishers. Blue 1st, Red 2nd, Yellow 3rd. My cousin, who is young enough to be my son, had field days too. They didn't give out ribbons. They didn't want any of the kids to feel left out. That shift in mentality pervades throughout our society today.  That oversensitivity has nothing do with social media. Social media amplifies the hypersensitivity that is already their.
• Honestly you can miss me with this one. The generation proceeding mine protested and marched under threat of death. So 30 plus years later people couldn't express their utter contempt with far less of a threat to their well being. Not buying that one at all. In many ways things like "online petitions" don't carry the weight due to the low effort required to participate. To be honest, things like letter writing campaigns were/are more effective. Companies/politicians/etc. knew people were pissed off when they actually took the time to sit down, write, and mail a letter. 
• Don't really follow comedians close enough to say to be completely honest with you. That said, Seinfeld's take is hardly a unique one. It something I heard multiple comedians say. Chris Rock said the same thing.

I lost several pounds and my face looks significantly better. I also look younger, too. I'm like wow. I have not really aged in the past 20 years. When I gain weight, I look older and when I lose weight, I look younger and better looking. I actually like my face a lot especially when I am skinny.
