heh, I didn't think of that... I haven't actually played with anyone in this game yet though....well, other than the random worlds I invaded just for the Varre quest.

*Another triumph finally... I beat the "Valiant Gargoyles"!!  Once again, as I got the last one's health down to nothing I was in disbelief like "holy shit... is this a win..?!?"  And sure enough...he fell over dead.  I gave up on trying to get them to accidentally jump or fall off the cliffside and just focused on using the combo of Mimic and my Dragon Rot breath.... also I had that super-defense mixed into the Wonderous Flask so I could negate at least 1 hit just in case.... my Faith and Arcane are considerably higher now compared to the last attempt---49 Faith and 46 Arcane.  The first gargoyle went down fast... he didn't even get a chance to use his poison attack.... so with it now just the 1 remaining, I knew that victory was now a real possibility... Mimic continued providing an excellent distraction; oh yeah I have him up at level 10 now.  He was hitting with more dagger slashes and blood attacks.  Finally, the 2nd Gargoyle died to the constant barrage of Rot and Mimic attacks, and that was that.  There's a very cool cinematic little cinematic after this since there is a coffin to interact with.... now I see what's up with this next area soon...

edit---my character looks so damn cool now... I have the tattered, ragged looking "Sage Robe" and the Crimson Hood, Traveler's Gloves and Godrick Soldier Greaves.... the Dragon Communion seal on my left hand (cool red glow) and the Reduvia blade in my right hand.

I mean if they didn't try Kirby now is usually just leaks existential or just weird horror. It's the trademark. And given how my nephew and a few of his friends think weird Roblox death games and FNAF games are entertaining to watch Kirby even when it brings out messed up scenarios like souls being taken and the like is still considered quaint for these kids.

Well, a way of getting to THAT rune-farm spot without the Varre quest and online apparently...?  The downside I see right away is that this takes quite a while though, since you'd need to have access to the northern snowy area...

Yea every single area has two ways to get to it.

Man, I tried to go get some item called Golden Scarab in Elden Ring.  You gotta beat up a boss to get that shit.  What I read people were saying how the boss was easy and all that jazz.  Nah, that shit is fucked up.  There are two bosses and one throws fuckin' spinning death blades that one shot me and the other has a spear and jacks the shit outta me.  I'm not able to use magik for some reason...but I can bust off a summon real fast and I get these wolves to fight with me but we all just get jacked and we only get the guy with the spear about 1/4 of the way dead before we're all dead.

Fuck that shit.  Find some other way to get a lot of runes.

P.S.  I'm li...NNNehjx.png... still haven't beat a boss.

Oooook, so Alecto the Assassin.  I don't believe this one is possible at all without the cheese tactic I've read about online about getting her hung up on the edge of a rock....and even that seems to require some luck.  This fight is yet another scenario where it's like you're a sloth trying to fight Spiderman...and nope, "Spidey" is not going easy on you....he's using every bit of that superhuman agility, speed an reflexes.  In other words... you have about the same chances of winning the lottery 6 times in one day.  There is NO possible way to deal with this cunt in any kind of straight up fight....which is quite a shame as she has cool moves and movements..

edit---ok yeah fuck that edge/trap technique... I'm just trying to repeatedly run away and cast incantations whenever she does the big AOE attack (there's a decent amount of time she's open for attack there...this appears to be her only weakness in the entire moveset.)  This is probably one I'll be trying for days and weeks before I even get close to victory again.

haha....that bitch is DONE!  I knew I was right that would be the way... I just kept at it with my gameplan of constantly running and waiting for her to do the big area slam attack since that's the only time she has significant recovery time and is open.

*note----Scarlot Rot "DOT" didn't take effect on her at all...it just did the initial damage every time...and she has so much health, I hit her dozens of times.  I also did that blood sling from the Reduvia dagger on occasion.

That last moment of the fight was so tense... I had no more healing flasks...but she was down to 15% or so health.  I didn't want to risk anything, and just waited....it would be a long time before she did that slam/aoe attack but finally, there it was.... and I hit her one last time.  The cheese method actually seems too unreliable...running away until you see her do the slam move seems like the better approach, imo.

payout = 80k runes for this one....and of course, one of the top tier summons "Black Knife Tiche"...I look forward to upgrading that bitch asap...

haha actually I already had enough materials and runes to fully level her up...

holy shit... and thanks to this GOD-level summon... and my glorious rot damage....I just beat MOHG!!!!  Oh yeah the payout on this was HUGE.... I have 400k+ runes now

That fight was the most frustrating and unfair feeling one in the game, IMO. I used the same tactic, but switched to frost breath since she's actually vulnerable to it. Also changed my weapon to frost, but didn't get more than a few swings in because there's so little opportunity to do anything safely against her horseshit.

Elden Ring...

yeahhhhh... this is GOLD, folks... I'd recommend anyone to go on through the Hell that is Alectus to get this Black Knife Tiche summon....  you have to see how ridiculous this one is to believe it... the RageGaming guy shows it off here:

I have only used it against Mohg so far and that was a huge reason why I finally beat him... I'm sure she's capable of stomping a lot of bosses just by herself....like you could just sit on the ground and watch as she destroys everyone.  Well, this is another thing I'm hoping they don't decide to tone down.  It's going to be tough going back to other summons after this.

Speaking of Kirby, I played quite a bit of Forgotten Land the past week on my flights.  After some time with it, I gotta say that it's similar to older Kirby's (not surprising) in that it's just so easy that it's not even really fun.  I played through the first world and got every waddle dee you can and it was just too easy to do it and it didn't feel fun/rewarding to get it all done.  I was like 1/2 done with the second world when I was done with my flights and turned it off with like 20 mins left on my last flight because I just had no desire to play it anymore since it was just kind of boring.  I'm glad my son loved it though but I doubt I'll play it more.

While I know they are old games, I also played through Limbo and Inside for the first time on my flights.  And wow what amazing experiences both of those games are.  The art style, atmosphere, and sound is just incredible in both games.  I really have no clue wtf went on story wise but I loved every minute of both games.  They are both like 3-3.5 hours or so too so pretty quick to get through.  I got em both for $2 a while back on the eShop.

Elden Ring, the adventures continue...

heh, the terrifying surprises are always great in these games...I went the other way in this area after the capital city... and then while walking along the path, all of a sudden the entire area got pitch-black dark.  That was an awesome unsettling feeling there as I thought "...oh no...what's about to happen here?"  Yep, boss fight out of nowhere... and it was 2.  Sheeeittt... no worries though; I got the Dragon Rot...along with serious bleed damage... and now my girl the assassin Tiche as a summon.  They had no chance against all this, really.

Every fucking Kirby game ever made. There are plenty of games for kids that are still fun and challenging enough, even as an adult...Kirby isn't for kids tho...he's made for fucking toddlers. That shit isn't fun and rewarding anynore after like....age 5.

I personally will never understand why anyone above the age of 10 could ever get hype for Kirby.

most of the difficult stuff in kirby is in the post game like the hardest arena settings where they limit your resources and give the bosses new sometimes bullshit attack patterns but for the most part a normal playthrough of kirby is just a chill experience. his normal kit is too strong to make platforming a challenge without filling the game with dkc style screen scrolling i think. they prob made the right move playing up the weird ass shit he fights in post game.

The problem for me personally is that it's TOO chill to the point that it's not even fun to play.  I was hoping I'd want to continue playing but I just didn't have any want to keep going further.

The Elden Ring adventures continue....

..and another one down!  On this day... Fire Giant has finally been humbled!  Rot didn't seem to do much, but I also have bleed damage as my other main option....and that was fuckin him up.  Naturally, Tiche was there with me....oh yeah I have no shame in using what very much appears to be THE best summon in the game.  It looked like I was doing most of the work this time though... he must be highly resistant to rot damage, because it just wasn't happening.  Also---I've found out the hard way countless times here... staying at range is a death sentence with this boss.  Things went much better when I kept trying to stay close...which I had to anyway for the bleed damage since those are close/melee range attacks.

edit---DAMN---that payout = 180k runes!!!

ah, and soon after that... Death Rite Bird... and Commander Niall.  One by one... all of them shall fall and be broken with this power...

Damn, today, the new event on Yugi Oh Master Duel started.

I tried the loaner decks they give for the event, that are build for the rules, since I don't have the type of cards that are allowed for it.

Didn't really like any of them, so decided to make a cheap deck with cards that are allowed, but are not really the focus of the event.

I theorized that it would be good, but I didn't expect it to be as dominant as it is, specially because it lacks Super Rare and Ultra Rare cards outside what are considered staple for meta decks.

I have been smoking fools left and right, with like 80% to 85% win rate, only losing to other outside meta/anti meta (for the event) decks.

My friends have been asking me for the recipe since is really cheap to make, and the only cards that are SR and UR are staples, with the exception of 3, so anyone can build it.

And it gives enough flexibility to tweak it for the cards you have.

A Friend of mine even made  a variation that it is more annoying to play against since it removes all the monster cards on the decks of both players, and one of the monsters gains attack proportional to the cards discarded, lol.

In one dat i made around 4000 gems that is around $80 of premium currency 👀

Well, that's a shame... so you can't set a custom background for PS5, I guess.  That was one little perk I enjoyed with PS3....haha I just had some pic of a hot ass random girl off the internet as my background (heh, imagine how creeped out she'd be if she knew about being the PS3 "wallpaper" for a random dude for the past several years.)....in fact it's still my PS3 background image.  I'm already sure "custom music" is a thing of the past as well, I bet...none of these companies want the consumers having too much fun (or even owning anything), obviously.

Also... I noticed the PS5 still has the same old stale profile pic selection.  Meanwhile on XB1 you can still have whatever as your profile (I assume as long as it's not something like nudity or porn, or some racist pictures)... my profile pic has been Pinhead from Hellraiser for years now.

....now that Vampire Swansong is due to be out in a month, I'm not quite sure which system to get it on, actually.... such a nice, privileged dilemma/"problem" to have.  For now I just wish it had a bigger cast of characters to play; you only get 3 vamps representing 3 clans in the story there... in VTM there's of course way more than that. (There's 13 vampire clans, if I recall.)
