Cliff Notes version is that guy Mike Richards had a podcast back in 2013 or so and apparently made some questionable(?) remarks about Jews and women; also called a female co-host a "booth-ho" I guess...

 

Funny that apparently there's people that sit around just waiting to comb through a person's history the minute they might be selected for any kind of high-profile gig (or perhaps someone at the companies behind the show, I suppose)... like the moment you're in the running for something there's some little tattletale motherfucker like "hmmm...let's see what kind of dirt we find on this dude..." (but seemingly not women though, of course..at least not often.  No one is canceling Lena Dunham or Cardi B. anytime soon.)

Oddly enough he stays as the Jeopardy exec. producer though so I guess that's "ok" with them for some reason..?

Maybe there was transitional stuff they had to do to get him in the role, and the "tryouts" were just to pad the time in between and have a backup just in case he didn't work out in the prelims. IDK. But I imagine it's like jobs outside of Hollywood where they interview several people, knowing they plan to promote or give the job to someone internally.

Especially if it's shit on a podcast from 2013. You have to be extra pathetic to be combing shit that hard, even if you find some distressing shit that makes me say "the guy should be fired" (isn't the case here, but still). The only exception is if that's your job on behalf of the person or the company hiring.

 

I have the same ZERO respect for twitter past combers, but at least it's not that hard to comb someone's twitter or facebook. Especially if they left the shit up. It's really just a google search. You have to listen to God knows how many podcasts or root through dozens of transcripts to find problematic shit in a podcast. I have next to no life outside of work, and even I look down on these people.

I looked a bit more into this onlyfans thing. They're really in between a rock and a hard place. I thought they were just trying to shine themselves up for investors. But it seems there's pressure from the media on them for illegal videos, similar to Pornhub last year right before Visa and Mastercard cut ties and took PH's main revenue stream. This is even after PH got rid of unverified videos (which were MOST of their content). If OF loses Visa and Mastercard somehow, it's dead. Not like PH, which can limp along on those dumb ads you see and crypto. It will go offline, and then something else is going to have to take its place.

The pressure is on but they didn't actually have illegal videos like porn hub did. 

 

Also their are alternatives to visa and mastercard. Porn companies haven't gone out of buisness because banks wanna be dick heads they just kept it moving.

*whoah, Walking Dead is STILL on?!  I just saw a commercial for this season being the final one.  I haven't watched it in a couple of years now.  For me, that show peaked when they revealed who Negan killed in the season premiere some years ago....it wasn't really a bad thing; the show just got to a point where it couldn't outdo itself anymore for me....all shows run their course eventually.

I know somebody who had PayPal deny transactions he tried to make on OF. He had to use cash app to bypass it.

Sorry to pivot back to this Fresh and Fit stuff, but I'm wondering: how much, if at all, will their channel suffer for this beef? It seems on the surface that this is an "emperor has no clothes" situation, but I could see how their show is entertaining just for the guests (whether it's hot dumb broads or people we care about). Most of the fan base won't care they got exposed.

 

I ultimately see their show keeping steady, but them suffering the Tucker Max syndrome, where even they grow out of the BS they're preaching and pivot to something else.

F&F lost over 25K subs since the beef started. They were at 430K pre beef and now they are down to 397K subs last I checked. A&P sub counts actually been rising. If you check the comments and chats of the latest F&F videos they lost of the respect of a lot of their audience. The lost of subs is their biggest reason for wanting to squash it.

oh it keeps going down... they're at 395k right now.  Jody's Corner show is talking about them now.

 

Their mods are having to work extra hard lately as you can imagine in the chat...live chat is non-stop roasting during the show now...so for a while you're going to see a lot of [message deleted] in their chat constantly.

oh...I know where that eventually goes---more than likely, the live chat will be set to "members only" mode...so basically if people want to troll in live chat they have to pay for that right 😆  I hate members-only mode though... no way I'm paying money just for the perk of being in a live-chat on any of these channels.

It's rarely a good idea to try being a "Good Samaritan" guy.... besides, with that many "questionable looking characters" hanging around, I wouldn't even be over there in the first place.

Yeah, but when channels get hit with drama, there's always a big sub drop count and them getting ratio'd at first. Then later on, they slowly but surely come back up. I'm watching with popcorn to see if I'm wrong, but this seems like so many other things that blew over.

 

Unless there's even more dirt coming out about those two. That's another possibility. If the one dude really was trying to get some girls to fuck to get on the podcast, there HAS to be more dirt out there. Seems crazy that stayed low key in this Me Too era.

 

BTW, can anyone compile a good round-up of names of commentators talking about this?

The girl who Myron tried to Weinstein has spoken out about it recently and that's been making rounds in the space. Then there's that dumbass video of Fresh purchasing his first gun within the week Preach is coming to Miami. Optics isn't looking good for F&F.

Some are speculating that the reason they apologized is because their viewer and subscriber counts took a big hit.  Overall I don't think their show is going to die because of it, but there WILL be a black mark on their name after this.  

 

EDIT:  Hawkingbird did a much better job of explaining it than I did.
